There water cake and coffee it is a light dessert, but soft, moist and really greedy, also because of that final icing with which it is covered. Of course, being one Cake Coffee, is not suitable for children and pregnant women (unless you decide to prepare it with decaffeinated coffee or with barley instead of coffee: in that case it will be good for everyone). Instead, being prepared without eggs is without milk nor butter, it is suitable for those suffering from allergies or intolerances to these foods (as it is, of course, also lactose-free). A simple cake made with very few ingredients. If you want you can add chocolate chips to the dough to make it even more delicious, or replace the coffee icing with simple icing sugar, the choice is yours. For an extra touch of delicacy, on the other hand, you can serve it accompanied with a little whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream;)
How to make water and coffee cake
First of all, prepare the coffee by mixing the warm water with the instant coffee (alternatively, use 300 g of espresso coffee, then making it cool), then add it to the sugar, making it melt well.
Add the seed oil, then add the sifted flour with the baking powder and mix well.
Pour the mixture into the greased and floured mold and bake at 180 ° for about 50 minutes in a preheated static oven.
While the cake cools, prepare the icing: combine the coffee (cold) and the icing sugar in a small bowl and mix very well, in order to obtain a fluid and lump-free icing.
Then decorate the cake with the icing and possibly with sliced almonds or coffee beans.
The water and coffee cake is ready, you just have to serve it.
